Wellness and excellent veterinary care go hand in hand. At Oak Hill Animal Hospital, we strive to prevent illness by working closely with you and your pet.
We design our wellness programs specifically around each client. A wellness program includes:
- A comprehensive physical exam
- Internal parasite testing
- Heartworm, tick, and flea control
- A vaccination program
- Spaying and neutering
- Health monitoring blood tests
Our wellness programs are also specific to your pet’s age. For animals younger than seven years old, we suggest an annual exam. These exams include:
- Physical exam
- Fecal analysis
If you can bring a recent sample from home, it will give us a sample for testing without causing undue stress on your pet. - Heartworm / Lyme / Ehrlichiosis test
- Vaccines appropriate to your pet’s lifestyle and environment
For animals who are seven years or older, we suggest having blood work done annually in addition to their annual exam. These blood tests look for any signs of metabolic diseases such as kidney disease, liver problems, or diabetes. Common old age problems, if detected early, can be addressed or helped in many ways.
