Preventative Veterinary Oral & Dental Care

Like all of the services at Oak Hill Animal Hospital, we tailor dental and oral checkups and treatment to the needs of your pet. Pets require appropriate oral and dental care for health, proper nourishment, and quality of life.

Statistics show that good preventive dental care and treatment of diseased teeth and gums can extend your pet’s life expectancy by 2-4 years. Dental tarter and the accompanying infection are not only painful but could eventually lead to heart, lung and kidney disease.

During your pet’s physical exam, we will also perform a dental exam. Should you notice problems at home, such as chipped teeth, bad breath, or a change in eating habits, please bring your pet in to see us.

Oak Hill Animal Hospital’s dental and oral services include:

  • Routine prophylaxis — teeth cleaning and tissue assessment
  • Dental x-rays — when necessary
  • Dental extractions
  • Oral surgery

Please call us or stop in if you have any dental concerns with your pet!
